After "The man who wanted to live his life" by Eric Lartigau shot in the fall, Catherine Deneuve shot in late 2009 in Belgium François Ozon's new film "Potiche", adapted from a successful play. She plays a weird heiress which has to replace her husband (Fabrice Luchini) to manage an umbrella factory, with the help of her communist former lover (Gérard Depardieu, who plays opposite Deneuve for the 7th time !). The cast also includes Karin Viard, Ludivine Sagnier, Judith Godrèche and Jérémie Rénier.

In January 2010, Catherine Deneuve began to shoot Thierry Klifa's new film co-written with Christopher Thompson, and entitled "Les yeux de sa mère". It is the story of a young uninspired writer (Nicolas Duvauchelle) who infiltrates the life of a TV star journalist (Catherine Deneuve) and her daughter (Géraldine Pailhas) to write an unauthorised biography. The shooting takes place in Paris, Brittany and Spain.
